Chris Parsell
Chief Executive Officer
Chris Parsell, the founder of Contour Construction, started in the trades at age 16 before founding the company in 2006. With nearly 25 years in construction, he began as a utility trench laborer and operator enjoying the freedom and sense of accomplishment construction provided. He went on to formalize his education by attending trade school for welding. After a failed initial attempt at becoming a world-renowned novelist, Chris honed his craft as a carpenter building custom homes, quickly moving up the ranks from assistant superintendent to project superintendent then estimator, project manager, and finally executive level. Chris holds multiple degrees and certificates, including Construction Management and Business Administration by putting himself through night school at Frederick Community College and Mt. Saint Mary’s. He holds contractor’s licenses in multiple states, including the NASCLA exam qualifier to work as a GC nationwide. His wide variety of experience includes site development, owner’s programs, new concept brand roll-out, historic preservation, and commercial real estate investment. When not operating his businesses, you might find him on a kayak in the Potomac or in the backcountry waters of Key West with a fishing pole in hand. An avid literary nerd and novice guitarist, Chris also enjoys taking in the occasional concert.
Lisa Parsell
Chief Operating Officer
Over the past nine years, Lisa has served in various roles at Contour Construction, culminating in her recent promotion to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
During her tenure, she has filled every available position at Contour, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of construction, from pre-construction through project completion. Lisa also serves as the company’s Integrator.
As Director of Business Development, Lisa contributed significantly to the development of Contour’s brand identity, led website development, managed systems, and executed social media campaigns. Her exceptional relationship-building skills and strategic initiatives have doubled the company’s revenue since she joined. Lisa is dedicated to assisting cross-functional teams in improving processes to boost client satisfaction and increase team retention.
As COO, Lisa will focus on systematizing and optimizing every department within Contour Construction. She aims to streamline processes, integrate advanced construction technologies, and uphold the highest quality standards in all projects. Lisa is committed to expanding into new markets, forming strategic partnerships, and ensuring financial stability while maintaining profitability. Her dedication to eco-friendly construction and community engagement will drive Contour’s growth and innovation in the industry.
In her personal life, Lisa loves to travel and explore new places, often immersing herself in the local history. She enjoys outdoor activities such as target practice, fishing, and kayaking. Lisa has a keen eye for photography and loves capturing fleeting moments. A woman of deep faith, Lisa enjoys growing her testimony and spending time with her family and friends.
Joshua Bell
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Joshua joins Contour Construction as the Director of Business Development. In his previous roles as Director of Business Development & Marketing and Director of Corporate Growth Strategy, Joshua successfully led a dynamic project management team. Under his leadership, the company’s business development and marketing initiatives saw a remarkable increase in revenue and substantial growth in digital engagement and client acquisition.
Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer-Aided Design from Howard Community College. Additionally, he has earned certifications from prestigious institutions, including Leadership Principles from Harvard Business School, Relationship & Business Development from ABC Greater Baltimore, and Sales Management from HubSpot Academy. His skill set spans strategic marketing, project management, digital marketing, client engagement, leadership and team building, as well as sales performance analysis.
When Joshua is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking and exploring new places with his Boxer, Laila, visiting the beach, golfing and staying active as much as possible!
