Contour Construction’s relationship with The Wine Kitchen began with the original build outs of the restaurant’s Leesburg and Frederick locations, establishing spaces that supported the ownership group’s distinct hospitality concept. Years later, the owner returned to Contour to complete a comprehensive refresh of the 3,200 square foot Frederick restaurant with one critical requirement: the renovation had to be completed within a strict 30 day closure window. With every day offline impacting restaurant revenue, the project required detailed preconstruction planning, early procurement, precise sequencing, and disciplined trade coordination before construction began. The renovation refreshed the customer facing environment with updated finishes, custom millwork and furnishings, lighting, acoustical features, and specialty design elements while also modernizing the kitchen and back of house operations. Contour completed the renovation within the required 30 days, allowing the restaurant to reopen as planned and minimizing the financial impact of construction on the owner’s business. From the original build outs to the Frederick refresh years later, the relationship demonstrates Contour’s ability to remain a trusted construction partner throughout the lifecycle of a commercial space, adapting the built environment as an operator’s business and brand evolve.
